Massage Therapy

Massage is a process of manipulating skeletal muscle and soft tissue using different techniques, or modalities.

Massage techniques are commonly applied with hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearms, or a device.

The purpose of massage is generally for the treatment of body stress, reducing anxiety, or pain.

Massage causes physiological changes in your body through:
- The relaxation response, which is an involuntary, yet predictable response of the nervous system to massage techniques and touch
- Mechanical responses, which are physical effects that occur in the body when pressure is applied to the soft tissues
Together, these responses can produce physical and emotional benefits.

Massage helps promote healing by increasing circulation and mobilizing on metabolic waste and toxins, which can get stuck from tension and tightness
